Welcome to the Salento Fear Fest 2008 (SFF2008) website. An annual Film Festival dedicated to horror genre.

The Salento Fear Fest is a celebration of Horror, Thriller, Sci-Fi films. We are the only film festival in South Italy dedicated to getting Horror filmmakers the recognition they deserve The festival wants to be a guiding light to all horror movies fans in Italy and all over the world.

The Fear Fest is an initiative of the Cinesalento a non profit Cultural Association with the support of the Apulia Region, the Province of Lecce and the City of Tricase..

Filmmakers worldwide are encouraged to submit their project for consideration. All selected films are eligible to be included in the competition for "Salento Fear Award" in the following categories: Features, and Short-Films. The competitive part of the film festival is available in the categories of Best Feature Film, Best Short-Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Special Effect, Best Actor and Best Actress along with other awards.

The Fear Fest is located in one of Italy's most desirable location: Tricase in the heart of Salento land of art, culture and nature, welcomes you and invites you to discover the places of this wonderful land, located in middle of Mediterranean Sea in front of the Eastern countries.
